The strong improvement of style that can be found in the Villa of Sarcedo than other works of Count Capra is due to a very unique and curious fact: the design of this villa, in fact, it would not be by Count Capra but the architect Ottavio Bertotti Scamozzi .

The attribution of the work to the architect Scamozzi comes from the “General Review of all expenditures made for the factory Sarcedo” held in his own hand by Count Capra himself. From the vestibule and the hall it leads to all other rooms of the Villa. Of particular interest are the altar of the second floor and the domestic chapel.

Born in 1508 in Vicenza, the architect Palladio is considered the forerunner of classicism, and his works can be seen throughout the city. The Basilica Palladiana, the Olympic Theatre and the Villa Rotonda are part of his masterpieces. Nevertheless beautiful architecture can be enjoyed in the line the streets of Vicenza. Many other beautiful buildings such as medieval fortresses and Roman excavations are part of this unique urban landscape.
