Stunning Tuscan Farmhouse near Grosseto
The Tripoli Farm, located at 280 above sea level, was built in 1913 in 2000 the current owner planted local wine vineyards which produce excellent grapes currently used to make the local vine and wonderful olive oil.
Form this magnificent property one can enjoy 360 degrees view; from Montalcino vineyards on the East to Roccastrada ills, on the north-west, passing through the famous Orcia Valley and Amiata Mountain. The characteristic Tuscan climate is particularly pleasant in the summer breeze.
A road, the former state road 223, which from Paganico leads to Petriolo thermal baths crosses the farm.
This local hilly terrain, which is home to the Montecucco D.O.C. wine, is particularly suited for grape and olive farming.
The local scrub is populated by wild boars, especially in autumn this offers, to mushroom enthusiasts, different types of mushrooms like amanite Cesarea, boletus, clitocibe geotropa, clitocibe conglobata, and many others.
In the area, there are several remains of Etruscan settlements many of which are still visible (i.e. Roselle). Close to the farmhouse, the Casenovole Etruscan necropolis may be visited.
The farmhouse is at easy reach via the motorway artery: from the Siena-Grosseto at Paganico exit as well as from Civitella Marittima or at the Casal di Pari exit.
